Tip #3 to avoid bullying: Smile and laugh:
Smiling at others and displaying a good sense of humor is not just a sign of being a friendly person, it also has two other benefits: it is good for your mental health and it also helps you to NOT become a target for a potential bully.

A song aimed to let bullies know it is NOT okay to bully, teach witnesses what to do should they see a bully bullying, and tricks that victims should utilize to help them become bully free. (This song is sung to the tune of Sipping Cider Through A Straw that I learned at Camp Sky Wa Mo, a Girl Scouts camp, back when I was a girl.)
Thicken Your Skin To Put-Downs:
Years ago while on a cruise, I met a social worker from a school for unwed girls in Chicago. I was teaching my Conflict Resolution class to middle school kids at the time. She shared several ideas to help kids thicken their skin to put-downs.
Angry Blake:
Blake was filled with fury. You could have cut the tension between his parents with a knife. They yelled at each other half the night, as Blake lay trembling and angry in his room. At school, he felt the need to vent that anger on some of the students.
